Dawn Harkins, Managing Director
Dawn Harkins (soprano) holds a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Judson College in Elgin, Illinois.
Previous roles include The Devil/Devil's Trap, Emma/Jekyll & Hyde, Mama Euralie/Once On This Island, Jenny/Company, Beggar
Woman/Sweeney Todd, Maria/The Sound of Music, and Rapunzel/Into the Woods. She has sung with Saint Charles Singers, DuPage
Opera Theatre, Elgin Choral Union and Heartland Voices of Elgin. She has also toured with choirs to Germany, Austria, the
Czech Republic, Japan, China, and the Philippine Islands, most recently returning from a tour of the Loire Valley, France.
Solo recording credits include Heartland Voices' Christmas CD, HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS. Dawn is currently performing the
role of Grand Mary in the American Girl Review, and just finished a role of Bitty Kitty in Bitty Bear's Matinee: A Family
Tree, at the American Girl Place Theatre in Chicago. In addition to performing, Dawn has been the music director for several
children's theatre productions throughout the Chicagoland area. She also has 13 years experience as a private voice instructor,
teaching not only from her own private studio, but also at various music and theatre schools throughout the Chicagoland area.
